JACKSON COUNTY, AL : 17-year-old killed in multi-vehicle Jackson Co. wreck on Sunday, 7th July 2024

A 17-year-old has died following a wreck in Jackson County on Sunday morning.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the incident occurred on U.S. 72 around 8:30 a.m. near mile marker 119 after a 2015 Nissan Altima driven by a 17-year-old from Huntsville hit a 1988 Chevrolet C2500.

Officials said the Altima then hit a trailer.

Troopers said the teen was not wearing a seatbelt during the incident and was pronounced dead at the scene.
