OLIN, NC : Wrong-way driver killed in I-77 head-on collision on Tuesday, 30th January 2024

A Huntersville woman who was driving in the wrong direction on I-77 was killed Monday night, NC State Highway Patrol confirmed on Tuesday.

Troopers said the crash happened around 8:44 p.m. on January 29 near Tomlin Mill Road. This is about 15 miles north of Statesville. Stephney Morris, 65, of Huntersville, was found suffering from injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
