Madison man dies in Newark motorcycle accident - New Jersey

A Madison man was fatally injured in Newark at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 31, when his motorcycle collided with a car on Grove Street, according to a report by the Essex County Prosecutor‘s Office.Dwayne Vanderveer, 33, was riding a Suzuki motorcycle north on Grove Street when he collided head-on with a 2001 Honda traveling south near the intersection of Grain Street in the West Ward, according to the report.The Honda’s driver, a Cape May resident, was taken to University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, reports said.An investigation is ongoing by the prosecutor’s major crimes unit and city police, the report said.
