MARTINEZ, CA : DUI suspect arrested, 1-year-old daughter hurt after I-680 crash on Tuesday, 25th February, 2020

A 58-year-old resident was in county jail after his arrest on suspicion of drunk driving and endangering a child in a solo-vehicle crash that injured his year-old daughter, authorities said.

At 8:47 a.m. Tuesday, California Highway Patrol officers responded to a report of a vehicle that left the connector from northbound Interstate 680 to eastbound Highway 4.

When officers arrived, they found an Audi A6 that had sustained major damage after striking a concrete rail. A year-old girl was strapped in a car seat and her father had been driving, the CHP said.
