Gilbert, AZ : Chandler Police officer was killed in in a traffic crash while riding his motorcycle on Tuesday October 28th 2014.

A Chandler Police officer on his way to work was killed in a traffic crash while riding his motorcycle. The crash that took the life of the officer happened near Recker & Baseline in Gilbert. Officer Bryant Holmes was on his way to start a patrol shift that started at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Holmes was 34-years-old and is survived by his wife and four young children. Emergency crews tried to save Holmes, he was wearing a helmet, but his injuries were too severe. Investigators have not released further details on the crash but do not believe impairment is a factor. Holmes had been with the Chandler Police Department for 5 years.
