Corunna, MI : Man dies after pickup-lawnmower crash in Venice Township on Sunday, September 7, 2014

Shiawassee County authorities say a 68-year-old man has died after crashing his pickup truck into a riding lawnmower. The Lansing State Journal reports the county sheriff's office said Tuesday that Jessie Cecil of Lennon died Monday from injuries he suffered in the accident. Authorities say Cecil was driving on a road in Venice Township when he struck the riding mower Sunday. They say the man on the lawnmower suffered minor injuries. Authorities say Cecil was thrown from his pickup after it hit a tree and rolled over. He was hospitalized in Flint.
