CHESTERFIELD, VA : HAZMAT crew called following Chesterfield crash on Monday, 23rd October 2023

HAZMAT crews are in Chesterfield cleaning up Monday afternoon after a crash involving an industrial truck.

On Oct. 23, police say two cars crashed into each other just after 4 p.m. in the 12700 block of Old Stage Road.

Officials say approximately 20 gallons of diesel spilled on the roadway but HAZMAT crews stopped it from spreading into any waterways.

One person was injured in the crash but they have already been taken to, the hospital.

Crews will be on the scene for at least the next hour.
