Warrenton, VA : A 19-year-old killed in a crash on Saturday, June 24, 2017

Police have identified a 19-year-old killed in a Saturday morning crash on Prince William Parkway as Martin Ezekiel Monge of Woodbridge.

The single-vehicle accident happened in the eastbound lanes about four miles from Scenic Point Place in the Manassas area at 10:42 a.m., police said.

The investigation revealed the motorcyclist, driving a 2006 Suzuki, was traveling at "an excessive speed" when he lost control and struck the guardrail, said Prince William police spokesman Nathan Probus.

Monge was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say speed is likely the cause. It does not appear alcohol or drugs were involved.

All eastbound lanes of the parkway were closed for several hours after the crash.
