A 3-year-old girl is dead after a car she was riding in was rear-ended by a man suspected of driving under the influence. Las Vegas police say the girl was killed in the crash Saturday afternoon on Carey Avenue near Sandy Lane. Authorities say a Toyota Corolla was stopped in the road as the driver was speaking with a pedestrian. That's when police say a Dodge Ram slammed into the car at full speed. Police say the passenger in the truck fled the scene while the driver failed sobriety tests and was arrested. He's been identified as 70-year-old Charles Washington of Pahrump. A 2-year-old girl and two other people in the Corolla were taken to University Medical Center with serious injuries.
