Wilsonville, OR : Hit-and-run driver causes serious injury crash on I-5 May 21, 2014
Police are looking for a driver they say left the scene of a Wednesday morning crash of Interstate 5 that injured one person.
The crash happened at about 9 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-5 near the 282 interchange just south of Wilsonville, Oregon State Police said.
Three vehicles were involved in the crash. OSP said a gray or silver SUV, similar to a Dodge Durango, caused the crash and didn’t stop.
Witnesses told police the driver of the SUV was driving recklessly just before the crash.
Olga Avalos Valencia, 34, of Beaverton, was injured and taken to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center. She is in good condition.
She was driving a white Honda Civic. The other driver, a 30-year-old from Woodburn, was driving a Toyota Corolla.
