Boulder, CO : U.S. 36 closed north of Boulder because of crash on Saturday, 23rd June 2018

U.S. 36 is closed in both directions between St. Vrain Road and Nelson Road north of Boulder because of a three-vehicle crash that has left at least one person hospitalized on Saturday evening.

Colorado State Patrol Cpl. Ivan Alvarado said that the crash was reported shortly after 6 p.m. at the 27 mile marker of the highway. It is expected to reopen by 9:45 p.m. on Saturday.

Alvarado said that one woman was taken to Boulder Community Health Foothills Hospital and was undergoing surgery. As many as three other people were also taken to the hospital, but with minor injuries.
