Baton Rouge,LA : Police ID motorcycle driver killed in crash Tuesday night on Plank Road on April, Tuesday 3rd 2018

Baton Rouge police have identified the person killed Tuesday night on Plank Road in a motorcycle crash as Dequincy Posey, 33.

The crash occurred near the Coca-Cola bottling plant in the 8300 block of Plank Road around 8 p.m. Tuesday when Posey drove his motorcycle into the back of a van, Baton Rouge police spokesman Sgt. Don Coppola Jr. said in a news release Wednesday morning.

The van was traveling north on Plank Road but made a U-turn and had just entered the southbound lane when the crash occurred, Coppola said.

Posey, of 5886 Avenue K, Baton Rouge, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver did not suffer any injuries.

Coppola said the investigation is ongoing.
