Russellville, AR : 58-year-old Michael Lilly and 57-year-old Vicky Lilly died in a motorcycle accident on I-40 near Russellville on Friday, June 17, 2016

State police say a motorcycle accident on I-40 has left two Arkansas residents dead.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports that 58-year-old Michael Lilly and 57-year-old Vicky Lilly died after losing control of their westbound motorcycle near Russellville on Friday. Authorities say the motorcycle fell onto its left slide and slid on the left shoulder of the road.

Both riders were thrown from the motorcycle. Vicky Lilly was pronounced dead at the scene and Michael Lilly died from his injuries at a local hospital Monday.

Preliminary records show that their deaths were the 242nd and 245th on Arkansas roads.

Police listed conditions as clear and dry at the time of the accident.
