Rowan County, NC : 22-year-old woman killed, one injured in head-on collision on Stokes Ferry Road near Trexler Road on Saturday, April 23, 2016

One woman was airlifted from the scene of a Rowan County crash and another woman was pronounced dead on site. Both woman are reportedly from Salisbury.
Troopers say 22-year-old Phantasha Krystal Sky Cook was driving a 2015 Nissan Altima when her vehicle crossed the center line and hit another car head-on. She was not wearing a seat belt.
The crash happened Saturday on Stokes Ferry Road near Trexler Road at approximately 7:30 a.m.
Jennifer Lasure was driving the other vehicle, a white Ford Mustang, and was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Hospital with broken bones.
Highway patrol does not believe speed was a factor in the crash. They also say there are no signs that alcohol was a factor either, but troopers say they found drug paraphernalia in Cook's car.
