A pedestrian was hit and killed by a driver on Wednesday morning in Highlands Ranch, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
The driver stayed on the scene, said Deputy Cocha Heyden, public information officer with the agency.
The crash happened off Venneford Ranch Road and Highlands Ranch Parkway just before 7 a.m. Wednesday.
