ATTLEBORO, MA : 2 seriously injured in 5-vehicle crash on I-95 South in Attleboro on Sunday, 22nd November, 2020

Two people suffered serious, life-threatening injuries in a five-vehicle crash on 95 South in Attleboro, according to Massachusetts State Police.

The crash happened around 5 p.m. Sunday and backed up traffic on the highway for nearly an hour as emergency crews responded.

Police said a man and a woman in one of the cars had to be extricated by firefighters and were rushed to Rhode Island Hospital with extensive injuries.

The occupants of the four other vehicles were taken by ambulance to Sturdy Memorial Hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Massachusetts State Police are investigating the crash.
