TUSCUMBIA, AL : Colbert man remains hospitalized after wreck on April, Wednesday 5th 2017

One person remained hospitalized after being injured in a two-car accident Wednesday, officials said.

Reports indicate that John Earl Jones, 39, of Muscle Shoals was injured in the crash that happened at 1:20 p.m. on U.S. 43, just south of the Colbert County Industrial Park.

Troopers said Jones was flown from the scene to Huntsville Hospital.

Hospital spokesman Steve Doyle said Jones is in fair condition.

He was the driver of a 2004 Dodge Ram truck that collided with a 2011 Hyundai Tucson driven by Olivia J. Francisco, 41, of Russellville.

Francisco was not injured, but her passenger, Guadalupe Sanchez, 73, of Russellville, and Jones’ 8-year-old son, John Luke, were both injured. Officials said their injuries were not life-threatened.
