Tucson ,AZ : One person seriously injured and Responders use ropes to rescue driver after car went off a steep bank early Sunday , March 15h 2015

The Tucson Fire Department had to use a crane and rope system to lift a patient to safety after their car went off a steep bank early Sunday.

Capt. Barrett Baker says the call came in around 2 a.m. and crews responded to Country Club and Hughes Access Road.

The patient had to be placed in a basket and lifted out of the area because of the steep terrain. You can watch the dramatic rescue here.

The patient was then transported to the hospital by TFD paramedics. The patient's condition is unknown at this time.
