Cranbury, NJ : Ryan Dorofy, 34, injured in crash with tractor-trailer on NJ Turnpike in Cranbury on Wednesday night, April 8, 2015

NJ State Police are investigating a two-vehicle accident on the Turnpike Wednesday night that sent one driver to the hospital.

Ryan Dorofy, 34, of Browns Mills was driving a 2005 Nissan Altima that had stopped for unknown reasons in a right southbound lane of the Turnpike, according to state police.

Dorofy's car was struck by a 2013 Freightliner tractor-trailer driven by Kenneth Rochkind of New Windsor, Maryland.

"The Altima driver had to be extricated and was taken to Robert Wood Johnson hospital," said state police Sgt. Jeff Flynn.

Flynn said Dorofy's injuries were not life-threatening.

The accident is under investigation.
