The wreck occurred just short of the Marler Bridge in Destin about 6:20 p.m., according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.

A 2002 Dodge Caravan was on the private driveway of the Eglin Air Force Base All Airman Club and approaching the intersection with U.S. Highway 98. Inside was the driver, a 57-year-old man from Golden Valley, Arizona, and three passengers, two of whom were from Loves Park, Illinois. The third passenger also was from Golden Valley.

Approaching from the east was a 2010 Nissan Altima driven by 58-year-old Shari Ward of Destin.
