SEDGWICK COUNTY, KS : K-96 reopens near Colwich following multi-vehicle crash on Monday, 11th March 2024

Two people were taken to the hospital Monday morning after an accident on K-96 near Colwich.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol’s online crash log, three drivers were heading westbound on K-96 in the right lane and a fourth vehicle was eastbound in the right lane.

The 2019 Ram 3500 struck the rear of the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado which struck the rear of a 2002 Sterling semi’s rear trailer, making the truck spin into the median. The Ram pickup then crossed the median into eastbound traffic, striking the oncoming 2017 Mack semi.

The drivers of the second and fourth vehicles were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
