Shreveport, LA : 79-year-old Hal Bryan dead in 2 vehicle accident in north Shreveport on Wednesday morning, March 11, 2015
Shreveport Police have identified a motorist who died Wednesday morning following a two vehicle accident in north Shreveport, according to a news release.
Just before 12:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, Shreveport Police patrol officers were called to a major accident reported in the 3000 block of North Market Street involving a red pickup truck and a flatbed tow truck.
Authorities learned the driver of a red 2005 Nissan pickup truck reportedly pulled from a private lot into the path of a tow truck that was traveling north bound in the 3000 block of North Market Street.
The pickup truck driver was identified as 79-year-old Hal Bryan of Vivian. Bryan was taken to University Health via ambulance, where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.
The tow truck driver, 59-year-old L.C. Dotie of Shreveport, was not injured in the crash but he was transported to a local hospital for toxicology testing in accordance with state laws. At this stage of the investigation, authorities have not determined the cause of the accident; however, impairment was not immediately suspected.
The crash remains under investigation.
