Bristol, CT : Two children killed in a head-on crash in Bristol on Sunday December 13 2015

Police have identified the two children who were killed in a head-on crash in Bristol.
Police say 7-year-old Veronica Martinez and 4-year-old Yvette Martinez were backseat passengers in car that crossed a double yellow line and hit a minivan. The crash happened around 12:35 a.m. on Sunday.
The children, who were from Meriden, were transported to Bristol Hospital, where they were pronounced dead. Police said their mother, who was driving, and another person in the car suffered serious injuries.
Twenty-six-year-old Michael Luponio and 23-year-old Jonathan Oquendo-Cruz were identified as people in the minivan. Both are in stable condition.
Police said another minivan passenger fled on foot before officers arrived. That person has not been found.
