SCARBOROUGH, ME : Serious crash closes portion of Route 1 in Scarborough on Thursday, 29th June 2023

A portion of Route 1 in Scarborough was closed due to a serious crash that took place around 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

Both southbound lanes were closed to traffic while crews were at the scene, according to the Scarborough Fire Department.

Drivers were asked to avoid the area between Pine Point Road and the Saco town line, Scarborough police said.
