An 83-year-old St. Albans woman died after a car and a tractor-trailer collided Wednesday morning on U.S. Route 2 in Alburg, police said.Pauline M. Lussier, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at Northwestern Medical Center. Lussier was driving a 2000 Hyundai Elantra near the intersection of Haylde Road around 10:20 a.m. when she pulled out of a driveway onto Route 2 and was struck by a tractor-trailer, police said. Witnesses told investigators the crash happened at the end of a heavy downpour. The driver of the truck, 46-year-old Marvin J. Lapier of Mooers, New York, was not injured.
