Phoenix, AZ : Woman killed in crash involving concrete truck, car in W. Phoenix on Thursday, July 7, 2016

A woman is dead following a crash involving a concrete truck and a car at 45th Avenue and Indian School Road in west Phoenix.

Phoenix police officers responded to the collision around 1 a.m. Thursday.

Sgt. Jonathan Howard said the preliminary investigation leads detectives to believe that the eastbound concrete truck was turning left onto 45th Avenue in front of the westbound car.

The 30-year-old woman driving the car was taken to a local hospital where she died from her injuries.

Howard said the woman wasn't using her seat belt.

The truck driver was not injured. He remained on scene and cooperated with investigators.

Howard said it does not appear that speed or impairment were factors in the collision.

Indian School Road is closed from 43rd to 47th avenues.
