A Bristol man was killed Monday morning after he lost control of his van on Route 295 and crashed into a tree.
George Parent, 69, was driving south on Route 295 around 9:45 p.m. when his Ford Econoline van suddenly veered across the median and over the northbound lanes near the Plainfield Pike, said State Police Col. Steven O’Donnell.
The van crashed into a tree, and Parent was pronounced dead at the scene, he said.
Parent was alone in the van. O’Donnell said the cause of the accident was undetermined, but weather was not a factor.
