Tangipahoa Parish ,LA :Two pedestrians killed and driver arrested for vehicular homicide on Saturday ,August 31st 2015

Louisiana State Police are reporting that two pedestrians were killed Saturday and the driver has been booked into the Tangipahoa Parish jail on two counts of vehicular homicide.

Police say the crash occurred around 4 a.m. on Louisiana Highway 1062 near Husser.

Police say 32-year-old Charlotte Woods Ross of Loranger and 28-year-old Angel Simmons Gill of Husser were walking the center of Highway 1062's eastbound traffic lane when they were hit by a car. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the driver of the car, 26-year-old Katy Robertson of Walker, was arrested after the crash.
