South Bend, IN : Multiple people injured in crash in the 600 block of S. Michigan Street in South Bend on Sunday, 3rd March 2019

Police were called to an accident with injuries in the 600 block of S. Michigan Street in South Bend early Sunday morning.

The call came in at 2:25 a.m., dispatch confirms.

Police tell NewsCenter 16 two cars were involved in a hit-and-run crash and five people were taken to the hospital.

There were two people in the car that caused the crash, a driver and passenger and four people in the other car.

Police said the driver left the scene following the crash.
