Springfield,IL : Motorcycle driver cited for DUI after Logan County crash on July, Saturday 29th 2017

A Weldon man was cited for driving under the influence on Saturday after the motorcycle he was driving went off Illinois 10 in western Logan County.

Illinois State Police said Allen R. Taylor, 52, of Weldon was eastbound on Illinois 10 at 100th Avenue, near New Holland, about 7:20 p.m. Saturday when he failed to negotiate an upcoming curve in the roadway. After leaving the road, the Harley-Davidson motorcycle went down an embankment and landed in an open field.

Taylor and his passenger, Amy L. Taylor, 44, of Weldon, were thrown off the motorcycle. They were taken to a local hospital with what police described as non-life-threatening injuries.
