Quincy, IL : A Scotland County man was pronounced dead on Sunday, June 18, 2017
A Scotland County man was pronounced dead at the scene after his vehicle overturned several times around midnight on Sunday.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that William C. See, 24, of Gorin, Mo., was traveling westbound on Route D near Neeper when his vehicle, a 2013 Ford 250, became airborne at the crest of a hill.
See then ran off the right side of the road, overcorrected, ran off the left side of the road, and his vehicle overturned multiple times.
See was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead by Clark County Coroner Ed Wilson around 1:15 a.m.
See had two passengers.
Reid R. Harris, 22, of Muscatine, Iowa, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, Iowa. Luke A. Sedore, 19, of Alexandria, Mo., suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene then released.
None of the vehicle's occupants were wearing a seat belt, the Highway Patrol said in its report.
The Highway Patrol was assisted by the Clark County Sheriff's Department, Clark County First Responders and Clark County Ambulance.
