BEL AIR, MD : A vehicle accident at the intersection of U.S. Route 220 on Tuesday, July 11, 2017
A vehicle accident at the intersection of U.S. Route 220 and state Route 956 left two people injured Tuesday morning.
Carole Jean Kline, 67, of Ridgeley, West Virginia, and Carolyn Ann Butler, 54, of Piedmont, West Virginia, were transported to the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center by ambulances from the Cresaptown Volunteer Fire Department following the 10:18 a.m. crash, the Allegany County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.
Deputies said Kline, driving a 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt, failed to yield the right of way and pulled into the path of a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe driven by Butler.
Both vehicles suffered major damage, deputies said.
The conditions of Kline and Butler were unknown later Tuesday.
