Lake County, IL : 2 killed in crash near Illinois-Wisconsin border on Friday, 13th November, 2020

Two men were killed Friday night in a head-on collision in Lake County near the Illinois-Wisconsin border, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s police.
The victims have been identified as a 79-year-old Zion resident and a 29-year-old Winthrop Harbor man, police said.
According to police, the younger man was westbound on Russell Road in a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer when he crossed the centerline. His SUV then struck an eastbound 2006 Chevrolet Express which was being driven by the Zion man. The collision happened around 7:15 p.m. near the intersection of Russell Road and Delany Road in Newport Township, police said.
