Gila Bend, AZ : Driver crashes vehicle during DPS chase near Gila Bend on Wednesday morning, February 24, 2016

The Arizona Department of Public Safety says the driver of a car that crashed while being pursued by state troopers on a state highway north of Gila Bend is in custody.
Trooper Tim Case says troopers started pursuing the southbound vehicle Wednesday morning on State Route 85 near Interstate 10 because it was speeding and using the shoulder to pass vehicles.
Case says troopers deployed tire-deflating spikes on SR 85 north of Gila Bend and that the car went off the road. He says the driver wasn’t injured and is now in custody.
