Tallahassee FL : Law professor was killed in his car crash on July 27th 2014.

Tallahassee Fire Department records show that a Florida State law professor killed earlier this month was found by a neighbor bleeding in his car with the driver's side window "bashed open."

Police released a portion of the emergency call to the fire department Monday that described the first person on the scene after Daniel Markel was shot. He later died in the hospital.

The neighbor reported hearing a loud bang and went over to Markel's residence. He found Markel parked in the garage, bleeding in the driver's seat of his 2008 Honda Accord. The 41-year-old father of two did not respond to the neighbor but was moving. The neighbor saw what appeared to be a white or silver Prius driving away.
