New Creek, WV : Car driver killed in head-on collision with school bus on U.S. Route 50 in West Virginia on Thursday, January 7, 2016
Police in Mineral County say a motorist has died after his vehicle collided head-on with a school bus that had no students aboard.
Media outlets report the collision occurred shortly after 8 a.m. Thursday on U.S. Route 50 near New Creek. The bus driver wasn't hurt.
Sheriff Jeremy Taylor says the car's driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim's identity was withheld pending notification of relatives.
The accident remains under investigation.
