Salisbury, N.C : Charles Keith Freeman, 62, died after a fatal collision between motorcycle and car on Majolica Road on Sunday afternoon, March 8, 2015

A well known motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Sunday after an SUV pulled into the path of his motorcycle, according to Salisbury Police.

Charles Keith Freeman, 62, was killed when a Nissan Pathfinder attempting to turn into a driveway, turned in front of Freeman. Freeman died at the scene.

The crash happened just after 2:30 at 1085 Majolica Road.

According to the police report, the Nissan was driven by Michael Bryant Stewart, 52. Stewart was not injured.

By late Sunday afternoon there were numerous comments on social media about Freeman's death.
“He was just one of those men who never spoke a bad word,” wrote Grant Eagle. “A great guy that will be missed.”

“We lost a true friend today to a car pulling out in front of him on his motorcycle,” posted Bob Pegram, III. Please keep his family and all of us affected by his loss in your daily prayers. Also the man that pulled out in front of him, I'm sure could use our prayers.”

There is no word yet on charges in the case. Salisbury Police are continuing to investigate.
