Brimfield, MA : 1 dead in semi crash on Interstate 76 in Brimfield on Sunday, 29th July 2018

The driver of an overturned semi tractor-trailer died of his injuries after a crash that closed lanes on Interstate 76 in Brimfield Sunday afternoon.

Sgt. Scott Louive said Kenneth D. Ours, 55, of Akron, was pronounced dead at Akron City Hospital, where the Mogadore Fire Department transported him after the crash. The Summit County Medical Examiner is investigating.

Ours, driving a truck owned by J. Rayl Transport of Akron, was headed east on the highway, near the Tallmadge Road exit in Brimfield. He was negotiating a curve on the highway when the truck went off the road, Louive said. The truck struck a road sign and went down an embankment, and Ours attempted to bring the vehicle back onto the road when it overturned.
