U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) released a statement Tuesday after his wife Gayle was injured in a car crash.
According to the statement, Gayle Manchin and a colleague were in Birmingham, Alabama when the crash happened.
The senator’s wife is in Alabama for a grant workshop with the Appalachian Regional Commission, an organization where she serves as the federal co-chair.
