Grand Junction man dies in crash tied to medical emergency

A 71-year-old Grand Junction man was killed in an accident Friday after he lost control of his car because of a medical condition, authorities say.Glenn Shepherd died of injuries suffered in an accident at 13th Street and Grand Avenue, according to a Saturday news release by the Mesa County Coroner's Office."Mr. Shepherd had a natural disease process that rendered him unable to control the vehicle he was driving and died at scene," the news release says.Grand Junction police are investigating the circumstances of the accident that happened Friday morning.
