LIBERTY, IL : Hannibal woman injured in crash near Liberty on Wednesday, 24th August, 2016

A Hannibal, Mo., woman was injured in a Wednesday night crash near Liberty.

The Adams County Sheriff's Department reported that a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Sandra S. Brinkman, 70, was traveling west on N1200th Avenue at 8:31 p.m. when it failed to stop at the intersection with E1900th. The department said Brinkman drove through the intersection, striking the ditch and coming to a stop in a cornfield.

Brinkman, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Adams County Ambulance to Blessing Hospital with minor injuries. She was cited for disobeying a stop sign.
