Phoenix, AZ : 17-year-old motorcyclist killed in west Phoenix crash on Wednesday, 8th April, 2020

A 17-year-old motorcyclist was killed in west Phoenix Wednesday, according to Phoenix police.

A police spokesperson said the boy was heading west on Encanto Boulevard near 48th Avenue when his motorcycle collided with another vehicle.

The teen died at the scene, police said. The driver of the car stayed and cooperated with police.

It's unclear whether the teen was wearing a helmet at the time of the trash.

The investigation was ongoing Wednesday evening and road restrictions were expected to be in place for several hours.
