BATON ROUGE, LA : 1 killed, 2 injured in Pointe Coupee Parish crash on Monday, 24h June 2024

One person is dead and two others are injured after a two-vehicle crash in Pointe Coupee Parish, according to officials.

The Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened on LA-1 in Lettsworth. Officials say one person was killed, while another adult and a child were both airlifted by Acadian helicopter to a hospital. Their condition is unknown.

LA-1 was closed in the area as a result of the crash. One lane has since reopened.

Louisiana State Police is working the accident as well.
