Two people died after a Saturday crash in Rockbridge County, according to Virginia State Police.
Police say officers received reports of a two-vehicle crash at 2:49 p.m. on I-81, two miles south of North Lee Highway.
According to police, a Chrysler Pacifica was in the right lane and a Subaru Crosstrek was in the left lane when both drivers attempted to change lanes and struck each other.
A passenger of the Chrysler, Donna Reinikka, 92 of Coatesville, PA, died at the scene. Everett Arnold Reinikka, 91, also of Coatesville, was transported to Carilion Rockbridge Community Hospital, where he died, police say.
