Ithaca, NY : Fatal collision in Ulysses under investigation on Wednesday, December, 20th 2017
New York State Police have announced they are investigating a crash that occurred late last night in the Town of Ulysses on Trumansburg road, near the intersection Wilkins Road.
The release said "preliminary investigation reveals the pedestrian had been walking northbound on Trumansburg Road from the vicinity of Iradell Road," when he was struck around 10:20 p.m.
The press release does not say whether or not the vehicle stopped at the scene, or whether the driver is under suspicion.
Anyone who witness the collision or observed a pedestrian walking in the area around then is asked to contact the state police at (607) 347-4463. The victim's family has not yet been notified, so his name is being withheld.
The state police are being assisted at the scene by members of the Trumansburg Fire Department, the Ithaca Fire Department, the New York State Department of Transportation and Bangs Ambulance Service.
