Beckley, WV : Two flown to hospital after accident in Fayette County on Thursday, 20th October 2016

Two people were flown to a Charleston hospital after their car went over the hill on U.S. 19 near the Oak Hill Kroger, dispatchers said.

The accident was called in around 3 p.m. and crews said one person was thrown from the vehicle, while another was trapped inside the car, which was sinking into the mud. Two juveniles were transported to a Beckley hospital

Officials closed both southbound lanes of the highway and the helicopter landed in the road, witnesses said.

Oak Hill Police Department is investigating the accident, whose cause is unknown at this time.
