North Houston, TX : 19-year-old woman killed, and her 1-year-old child injured after high-speed single-vehicle crash on Greens Parkway in North Houston on Saturday, November 8, 2014

A woman died and her 1-year-old child was injured after her car crashed into a tree in north Houston Saturday. The crash occurred around 11:50 a.m. in the 700 block of Greens Parkway. Houston Police Department spokesman Victor Senties said a 19-year-old woman was driving a silver Ford Taurus north at a high speed north where she struck a curb. The impact caused the car to veer off the road and into a tree, killing the driver, Senties said. Her identity is pending an autopsy by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
