Sauk Rapids, MN : 1 injured in Sauk Rapids crash on Tuesday, April 4, 2017

One person was injured Tuesday in an incident on U.S. Highway 10 when a vehicle was overturned onto its side, according to a Minnesota State Patrol report.

The incident occurred at 3:50 p.m. on Highway 10 north of Benton Drive South.

The report said a Ford Freestyle driven by Abdulkadir Abdi, 48, of St. Cloud, was traveling westbound on Highway 10 when Abdi attempted to change lanes. While changing lanes, Abdi saw a vehicle approaching at a high rate of speed. Trying to avoid a collision, Abdi overcorrected and entered a ditch where his car was overturned onto its driver's side.

Abdi was taken to St. Cloud hospital for injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening, according to the report.
