Weld County, WY : One man died in traffic crash in northeast Weld County on early Sunday afternoon July 20th 2014

A 24-year-old Carpenter, Wyo., man died in a single-car traffic wreck early Sunday afternoon in extreme northeastern Weld County, according to the Weld Coroner’s Office.

It is the seventh traffic death this month on Weld roads, and the 16th since June 1.

The victim was identified as Oliver Vicente-Vicente. The accident occurred near the intersection of Weld County roads 138 and 83.5, which is about nine miles northwest of Grover, and just one mile south of the Wyoming state line.

The Weld coroner’s office reported that Vicente’s SUV was westbound on Weld 138 when the vehicle went out of control and it rolled. Vicente was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash at 2:30 p.m.

There were an unknown number of passengers in the car who also were injured, but the names of the passengers and severity of their injuries were not known as of press time.

Vicente is the 25th person to die in a traffic crash in Weld County this year, compared to 18 by this date last year.
