Ruidoso,NM : One-vehicle accident leaves skid marks and a flipped vehicle on February, Friday 9th 2018

A one-vehicle accident occurred about 10 a.m. Friday on U.S. 70 running through the Mescalero Apache Reservation.

Skid marks were left on the highway headed west out of Ruidoso just past the turnoff to the Inn of the Mountain Gods. A pickup truck was flipped on its hood on the road shoulder. The driver appeared to be mobile and speaking to officers with the Bureau of Indian Affairs law enforcement.

The incident is being investigated by the BIA. No further details were available.
